Goal of the Apprenticeship

The primary goal of this apprenticeship is to equip young professionals with the technical skills, industry insights, and workplace discipline required to qualify as millwrights. Participants will receive on-the-job training and classroom-based learning, combining both theoretical and practical components. Through this program, BevCo aims to nurture talent that contributes to operational excellence, innovation, and long-term growth within the organization and the wider community.

Major Tasks and Expected Outcomes

During the apprenticeship, participants will:
  • Assist qualified artisans and technicians in performing daily operational and maintenance tasks within BevCo’s plant facilities.
  • Participate in structured learning modules that focus on mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting, equipment assembly, and preventive maintenance.
  • Demonstrate progress through assessments and maintain evidence of learning and practical development in line with a personalized development plan.
  • Comply with all safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures while executing assigned duties.
  • Develop essential problem-solving and analytical thinking skills applicable to industrial operations.

Needed Qualifications

To qualify for consideration, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
  • Education:
    • A valid Matric Certificate with Core Mathematics or Physical Science, achieving a minimum of 50% or higher in these subjects.
    • N3 Certificate or equivalent qualification relevant to the millwright trade.
  • Skills and Attributes:
    • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and strong technical curiosity.
    • High level of mental alertness, attention to detail, and analytical reasoning.
    • Solid problem-solving and conceptual thinking skills.
    • Self-motivation, teamwork ability, and a proactive approach to learning.

The Salary and Conditions of the Opportunity

  • Relocation: No relocation support is available. Applicants must be based locally or willing to work within the specified region.
