FlySafair Recruits Flight Attendants – 13 Posts Cape Town

FlySafair, one of South Africa’s leading low-cost airlines, is currently recruiting for 13 Flight Attendant (Cabin Crew) positions based at Cape Town International Airport. These contract roles offer a genuine opportunity for qualified aviation professionals to join a dynamic team focused on safety, efficiency, and exceptional passenger service.
Operated by Safair Operations, FlySafair emphasizes punctuality, reliability, and a strong safety culture—qualities that extend to its cabin crew. This recruitment drive targets individuals who already hold the necessary licenses and certifications, making it an ideal opening for experienced or recently qualified flight attendants ready to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Flight Attendants at FlySafair play a critical role in both safety and customer experience. Core duties include:
  • Ensuring full compliance with aviation safety policies and South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) regulations at all times.
  • Confidently and accurately executing emergency and safety procedures.
  • Fostering a positive safety culture on every flight.
  • Providing calm, professional, and efficient onboard service to passengers.
  • Addressing passenger concerns with diplomacy, empathy, and a strong customer-service focus.
  • Upholding integrity, punctuality, immaculate personal presentation, and accurate record-keeping.
  • Representing the airline professionally in all interactions.
The role demands clear thinking under pressure, effective communication, and quick decision-making—essential traits when ensuring passenger safety and comfort.

Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

Applicants must meet all the following criteria to be considered:
Qualifications and Certifications (must be current and valid):
  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate or equivalent.
  • Valid SACAA Cabin Crew License.
  • Avmed DD50 Medical Certificate.
  • Dangerous Goods Certificate.
  • Ditching Certificate.
  • Fire Fighting Certificate.
Additional Requirements:
  • Valid South African driver’s licence.
  • Level 4 English language proficiency.
  • Medically fit and able to swim.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends, public holidays, early mornings, and late nights.
Note: This is not a trainee or learnership program—candidates must already hold a valid SACAA Cabin Crew License. Expired certifications or missing documents will lead to disqualification. Previous airline experience is advantageous but not strictly required beyond the licensing.

Personal Attributes Sought

FlySafair looks for candidates who embody professionalism and reliability:
  • Attentive, calm, and compassionate demeanor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer-service orientation combined with unquestionable integrity.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and in stressful situations.
  • Impeccable grooming and appearance (no visible tattoos permitted).
  • Exceptional timekeeping and reliability.

How to Apply

Applications are accepted online only—email submissions are not accepted. Use the official FlySafair careers portal to submit your application. The reference number for these positions is FlightAttendantCPT01.
The closing date for applications is 30 January 2026. Interested candidates should act promptly, ensuring that all certificates are up to date and that their CV highlights relevant aviation experience.
For the most accurate and direct application link, visit the official FlySafair careers page at flysafairjobs.mcidirecthire.com, where current vacancies (including these Cape Town-based Flight Attendant roles) are listed.

Additional Notes

  • These positions are based exclusively in Cape Town; applicants must be able and willing to operate from Cape Town International Airport.
  • FlySafair and affiliated sites warn against recruitment fraud—never pay fees or share sensitive information with unofficial sources.
  • Successful candidates may find pathways for growth, such as advancing to senior cabin crew, training, or supervisory roles within the airline.
This recruitment round offers a solid opportunity for licensed cabin crew to contribute to FlySafair’s reputation as a reliable, passenger-focused carrier. If you meet the strict requirements, this could be your chance to soar with one of South Africa’s favorite airlines. Good luck to all applicants!
