Brewing Operator Post
The key purpose of this role is the safe operation of one or more discrete processes in the Brewing plant (e.g., FAB process, Wort Cooling, Yeast Management, Filtration Q&C), the execution of maintenance tasks, quality control checks and analyses, and the coaching of fellow team members to produce a consistent product of the right quality at optimum cost.

Plant and Process
- Optimise Plant & Process Performance where appropriate.
- Operate the Brew House Plant and Process
- Operate the Beverage Fermentation Plant and Process
- Operate the Beverage Filtration Plant and Process
- Operate the FAB Plant and Process
- Performing housekeeping tasks, applying 5S principles, and following safe work practices
- Take initiative to identify and correct unsafe work practices.
- Manage Territorial Safety and raise SIO and RNC.
- Support the reviewing and creating (drafting and documenting) of standard work procedures (including process maps, quick fix routines, and SOP)
Quality control and analysis
- Carry out the required quality checks and analyses, and record the results on the appropriate information system.
- Where quality problems have arisen, apply the appropriate problem-solving techniques (e.g., Quick fix routines) to resolve and complete required documentation.
- Escalate any identified or unresolved problems to CRO or BAM.
Communication
- Bring your insights and passion to meetings and goal reviews.
- Utilise the InterAction Log and Operator Checklist to record issues, problems, and improvement opportunities.
- Making use of relevant communication media (e.g., shift logbook) to stay informed and inform others of issues.
- Complete the required handover to the incoming shift team, ensuring plant performance and quality issues are addressed.
- Complete autonomous operations tasks and problem-solving activities.
Problem solving
- Respond promptly to upstream or downstream triggers that could lead to out-of-control process situations.
- Apply problem-solving techniques (e.g., 5Y, quick-fix routines, etc.) to identify and correct problems.

Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma in Science, Engineering, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or related field
- Completed IST in Brewing, advantageous
- Basic PC Literacy (Microsoft/ SAP)
- Experience in a brewing, beverage manufacturing, FMCG, or process plant environment (preferred)
- Experience operating a brewhouse
