Scholarship Benefits and Coverage

What the Scholarship Covers

  • For International Applicants:
    • Full tuition fees for up to two years
    • A living allowance of NOK 50,000 per semester, subject to academic progression
  • For Sivøk Applicants:
    • Full tuition fees for each semester, up to two years, if academic requirements are met.

  • Eligible countries: All countries worldwide

    • An overall GPA equal to Grade A on the ECTS scale, or a top-level grade from an international grading system.
  • Applicants must be admitted to the first year of a Master of Science program. They must study at BI’s Oslo or Bergen campus.
  • Only candidates applying for their first master’s degree are eligible
  • Students in the third year of the Sivøk program may also apply
  • Both Norwegian and international citizens are eligible

 

How to Apply for the BI Presidential Scholarship

The scholarship targets a specific program of studies, as we have seen. While some scholarships may have strict criteria for applicants, others may be straightforward. Applying for the BI Presidential Scholarship is straightforward. Follow the official steps carefully.

Application Steps

  1. Submit your admission application and scholarship application at the same time through BI’s online portal.
  2. Prepare a CV/resume and a scholarship application letter (maximum one page).
  3. Combine both documents into one PDF file.
  4. Upload the PDF to the section marked “Scholarship” in your online application.
  5. Ensure that all required academic documents for admission are included.
  6. Only documents submitted at the time of application will be considered. No extra files are accepted later.
  7. Third-year Sivøk students may apply by emailing their documents to BI, following the official instructions.
  8. International applicants will also be automatically considered for the MSc International Scholarship without the need to submit an additional letter.

 

Important Notes for Applicants

  • You may apply for several scholarships. However, only one award will be granted per applicant.
  • Scholarships are tied to a specific program and campus. They cannot be transferred.
  • Some international students are considered domestic applicants for scholarship purposes. This depends on their Norwegian educational background.
  • Only first-time master’s students are eligible.
